Melodie Halliday serves as Teacher Education’s division secretary and office manager. The office is an integral link between faculty, staff, and students. Ms. Halliday’s administrative responsibilities include maintaining student records including assessment data, labs experiences/clinicals, required tests, internships, etc. which ultimately become part of the each student’s permanent file as well as data for state and federal reports. Communication, both oral and written, is an essential function of the office. Ms. Halliday also handles admission and initial enrollment to the division’s graduate programs. After completing undergraduate work in English and history at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, Ms. Halliday worked at Simon and Schuster for a short time and then took a position with a large suburban Chicago bank serving as liaison between the trust and legal offices and its various loan divisions.
