Posters from Spring Hill College Graphic Design I class are on view in the Bedsole Gallery on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building. The designs are based on studies of Johannes Itten’s seven color contrasts. Students included in the show are: Sami Maurer, Raleigh Downs, Jordan Travis, Brandy Boettcher, Ginny Hicks, Sean Finn, Abigail Bacillia, Marissa Davis, Briana Graham, Jack Watkins, Caitie Beecher, Raven West, Kamrey Nichols and Alex Sierra.

Chrissy has a fascinating job working at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, La. as a Virtual Classroom Coordinator. While at Spring Hill she was a double major in art and history, and added a minor in graphic design. Read her story here:
Spring Hill College graphic design students designed the Tee shirt for the 2014 United Way of Southwest Alabama’s Day of Caring. The students presented their designs to three UWSWA representatives who came to our class. Tina Blackmon of the United Way gave Raleigh Downs, the student whose design was chosen, an award at the Day of Caring breakfast. Raleigh described her inspiration for her fingerprint tree:
Spring Hill College Graphic Design students won six Silver and one Gold award in this year's annual Mobile Bay American Advertising Federation competition. Our students have been winning student ADDYS since 2005. The Gold winner, Tyler Hartlage's The Little Blue Polar Bear book design went on to win a Silver award at the AAF district level.
The American Advertising Federation is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 40,000 professionals in the industry.
