Jennifer Jenkins, APR
Local professional Jennifer Jenkins teaches Tech Tools: Event Planning, a short-form, high-intensity course for SHC Comm Arts. She is an accredited public relations practitioner and owner of JJPR agency in Daphne, Ala. She has more than 20 years of full-service agency experience. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama, Jennifer’s brand and event experience includes most major industries: healthcare, tourism/hospitality, higher education, real estate and energy. Her event planning experiences are wide-ranging in both scope and function.
She has received numerous awards including Best of Show awards from the American Advertising Federation, Public Relations Council of Alabama and the Southern Public Relations Federation and has received more than 35 Medallion, Lantern and Judges Awards from organizations for her public relations work. She received both the PRCA Philip R. Forrest, Jr. Professional Achievement Award and the Southern Public Relations Federation Professional Achievement Award.
Jennifer is very active in her community. She served as President of the Junior League of Mobile for 2011-2012, the 13th largest Junior League in the world. She serves on the boards of directors for the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Public Relations Federation. She is a graduate of Leadership Mobile and was named by Mobile Bay Magazine as one of the Top 40 Under 40 for their inaugural class in 2009.
