Undergraduate Student Research

Spring Hill's Chemistry majors are required to complete 3 credit hours of undergraduate research.  Whether they complete this in 2 semesters with SHC faculty or participate in one summer REU program at another institution, our majors gain invaluable experience through their research experiences.  [Note: Biochemistry majors are strongly encouraged to also complete undergraduate research.]

James Kizziah ('15 Biochemistry) presents his research at the 2014 National ACS Meeting in Dallas, TXResearch students who wish to present their research at conferences are supported by and accompanied by SHC faculty to Regional and National Meetings of the American Chemical Society.  Students also present their research at the Spring Hill College Undergraduate Research Symposium.
